Historical Patent Plaque 10.5" x 13" – Gold Presentation Plate / Walnut Wood Plaque
The historical layout is designed as a tribute to the original patent office building, constructed over a century ago.
The artwork displays the historic U.S. landmark after construction was completed in 1867. After undergoing extensive revisions, the building reopened July 1, 2006, and was renamed “The Donald W. Reynolds Center” for American art.
Today, the building houses two Smithsonian Institution museums: The National Portrait Gallery and the Smithsonian American Art Museum.
